ELFF is a program for parents of 3 and 4 year old children designed to improve their success in literacy at school and to build connections between home and school. Presented by Marilyn Green (School Counselor) and Brette Richards (School Psychologist) , this session will be geared towards helping children and youth manage anxiety in schools. Specifically an overview off the physiology of anxiety, some well-intended pitfalls that we commonly make, and tips to approach things in a different way. Tuesdays after school on February 25, March 3 and March 10. Pickup from Ellison Elementary. Program includes 3x ski/board lessons, 3x lift tickets, 3x bus transfer to and from mountain and 3x meals.Cost: $170 until December 15th, then goes up to $210.
The grade 5's are fundraising for their annual overnight trip to Gardom Lake in April.
This workshop will provide parents with tools for helping their children deal with stress and anxiety stemming from school, social media, and friendships, as well as tools for managing their own stresses and pressures as a parent.
