Principal’s Message

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to Ellison Elementary School.  Our beautiful school was built in 1996, and we are situated in the middle of the community of Ellison, in the Scotty Creek subdivision, within easy walking distance for many of our students.  Many other students arrive every morning through our School District's busing transportation system.  Presently, we have approximately 195 students from Kindergarten through grade 5.  At Ellison, there is a strong support for activities and events that strengthen the 'family' feeling and enhance the learning environment for all in the school community.  We have a dedicated staff and Parent Advisory Council who all contribute to the success of each child that attends Ellison.

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to hold my first principalship at Ellison Elementary.  The Ellison community holds a special spot in my heart, as my families first home backed onto the current Ellison Elementary School playing fields.  It was the community that I spent my earliest years in!  My dad volunteered for the Ellison Fire Department, and served as the volunteer Fire Chief for three years before we moved closer into town.  It is with great pleasure that I now have the opportunity to also give back to this amazing community and officially become a Bulldog!

I look forward to getting to know each one of you.  Together we will continue to support the students in the community and prepare them to thrive as individuals in our ever-changing world.

Please stop into the school to say hello and ask questions.  You can always reach me directly on my school email at michelle.relova@sd23.bc.ca.

Respectfully,

Michelle Relova
