Dear Ellison Family,

As the newest member of the Ellison Elementary Community, I would like to welcome all students, families, and partners to our beautiful school and acknowledge that we live, work, learn and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) People. 

Our beautiful school was built in 1996, and we are situated in the middle of the community of Ellison, in the Scotty Creek subdivision, within easy walking distance for many of our students.  Many other students arrive each morning through our School District's busing transportation system.  Presently, we have approximately 220 students from Kindergarten through grade 5. 

In my short time here, I can already see there is a strong support for activities and events to strengthen the family feeling and enhance the learning environment for all in the school community.  We have a dedicated staff and Parent Advisory Council who all contribute to the success of each child that attends Ellison.  

I am very excited to join this wonderful community for my fourth principalship, and am looking forward to getting to know all of you. l have many years of experience in a range of roles in education in Canada and overseas, and know what an important part each of us play in helping our children reach their full potential.
